The 26th Annual Producers Guild Awards
To celebrate the finest producing work of the year, the Annual Producers Guild Awards, held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel, grants prestigious awards such as the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures and the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television, and the Vanguard Award, to honor some of the living legends whose work has shaped the industry.
Some of these names include producer icons such as Steven Spielberg, Jerry Bruckheimer, Brian Grazer, J.J. Abrams, Steven Bochco, Clint Eastwood, Sherry Lansing, Robert Evans, Roger Corman and Lorne Michaels, and timeless legends such as Alfred Hitchcock, Walt Disney, Billy Wilder and Louis B. Mayer.
Television program Breaking Bad and its producers Melissa Bernstein, Sam Catlin, Bryan Cranston, Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould, Mark Johnson, Stewart Lyons, Michelle MacLaren, George Mastras, Diane Mercer, Thomas Schnauz, and Moira Walley-Beckett won the Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Drama. The film Birdman closed the evening with its producers Alejandro G. Iñárritu, John Lesher, and James W. Skotchdopole wining the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures.
