Lebanese Cinema Honors Nathalie Baye
Carlos Chahine, actor and director, welcomed guests of Carmen and Raymond Debbané to a private screening of Vénus Beauté at the Metropolis Empire Sofil cinema. The screening served as a tribute to French actress Nathalie Baye on her first visit to Lebanon, and was followed by screenings of Sauve Qui Peut La Vie and L’Affaire SK1 on the following two days. Baye gave a candid and heart-felt testimony about her personal story as a dyslexic child and guests were able to meet the remarkable woman during the cocktail reception which followed the screening. The event was attended by Lama Salam - Italian Ambassador, Massimo Marotti - Swiss Ambassador, François Barras - Belgian Ambassador, Alex Lenaerts - UNICEF representative, Tanya Chapuisat -Director of the French Institute in Lebanon, Véronique Aulagnon and Robert Fadel.
